Earthquake in England

did anybody feel this earthquake that happened this morning that could be felt as higher as newcastle and as low as london.
The earthquake measured 5.2 but did'nt affect people that much.

If you live in America have you ever been in a earthquake and what was the experience like.

Yeah I was watching shameless on E4+1 when it happened, I thought a petrol station about half a mile away had exploded or something at first, there was a very loud bang (I thought someone had kicked my back door really hard) and then the house was shaking for about 10 seconds, I went upstairs to check on my kids and everyone was fast asleep.

I thought it was an explosion at first because there have been a couple of big fires in Peterborough this week, links below are to local news stories of the fires.

We had an earthquake a long time ago. I was sitting in the living room watching t.v. and the bird cage started to shake and then my sister was saying that a train must have jumped the tracks. The fire tones started going off because people thought their heaters had blown up. it was pretty neat since I had never experienced one before.
